There are only 9 players left
November 9 are ready
The WSOP 2011 hasnt finished yet there are still 9 players impatiently waiting to take down the big bucks and win the WSOP Main Event final
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2011 was an unmitigated success with more money played over the course of the series than in any other and with the second largest Main Event ever. The size of the poker series is especially surprising considering the fact that it was expected to be a complete disaster. The fact that the US Department of Justice (DoJ) swooped down on online poker a couple of months before the beginning of the series had pundits positive that no players in the United States would have the bankroll necessary to take part in the events held in Las Vegas. They were proven dramatically wrong.
Their reasoning was sound but as it turned out online poker was ejected from the United States close enough to the start of the series that enough players had a bankroll to take with them to Vegas in order to attempt to make enough money to support themselves for the tough coming months. But the WSOP 2011 isnt over yet. The November nine are impatiently waiting for the start of the final table to see who takes the crown in what is generally accepted as being the most important tournament in the poker world.
Amongst the top nine players sits the British poker Ace Sam Holden, at 22 years of age he is looking to become one of the youngest ever winners of this massive event. From Sussex, England his life is about to change forever as he is already guaranteed close to a million dollars regardless of how well he does at this dramatic final stage.
The young player is looking for both the massive cash pay out as well as the prestige that comes from winning. When asked whether it was the bracelet or the prize package that was more important to him he slyly answered both, saying that I guess the most money comes with the bracelet, so, I guess you kind of get both or neither, but the money is incredibly important to me, having a score like this is mad. I already feel incredibly fortunate to have won the amount Ive won. At this point Im not looking too much at jumps. Weve already won a lot of money, so its less of a big jump. Were all looking for that bracelet, so being the World Champion of poker is a pretty incredible thought.
